Daily Mail Online

This morning the Daily Mail claimed that while being sworn in as a member of the Privy Council, Jeremy Corbyn did kneel before the Queen:

mail corbyn queen1

And then they decided to change their mind and claim he didn’t:

mail corbyn queen2

This is not the first time the Mail has got it wrong about a news story. In 2011, the newspaper reported that Amanda Knox’s appeal against her murder conviction had been rejected, while the rest of the world was reporting the opposite.

And this time, everyone at the Mail were obviously so over-excited about this important breaking news story that neither the writers nor any of the editors spotted the typo in the quote from the Labour source (above).

Needless to say, whatever Jeremy Corbyn did, the Mail would have been against it.

  1. Sam Barnett-Cormack says:

I’m amused by the fact that his being filmed doing Incy Wincy Spider is deemed of such great importance.

  2. Hypocrisy Finder General 2 says:

Tom – You seem to be deeply concerned about whether he did or didn’t kneel. You are a sad little man obsessed with trivialities.
