Looks like Cameron’s made a big miscalculation with his so-called flagship idea to offer primary care and make GP practices open over seven days of the week.

According to new research published in the British Journal of General Practice today,  81% of patients think their GP surgery is currently open at convenient times.

And a pitiful 2.2% think Sunday opening would be easier for them.

Looks like Cameron has tied himself to a policy — and is even risking an all-out strike by junior doctors — for an idea which has practically no public support.

Prepare for a hand-brake U-turn…
