The wheels haven’t come off the Tory machine — but their is now audible creaking along with signs that discipline is breaking down.
First up, a top Tory donor describes the campaign as “useless” to Andrew Neil (this went viral last night):
Spoke to major Tory donor tonight. "Tory campaign useless. Cameron's heart not in it. Not looking good".

And today entrepreneur and TFL non-executive director Michael Liebreich — who has “expressed a strong interest in running for mayor of London” — slams the focus on the SNP:

Brave — but this will pay off for Liebreich if the Tory most mortem deems the ‘SNP chaos’ narrative to have been counter-productive.
UPDATE: Zac Goldsmith piles in at a hustings tonight …
Richmond Pk hustings @ZacGoldsmith attack "negative & unpleasant tone" + "scaremongering" of nat parties. "From my own party that's a shame"
