After John Bercow cut off David Cameron last week, yet more acrimony in this week’s PMQs. Tories jeered as Simon Burns — notorious for calling the Speaker a “stupid sanctimonious dwarf” — was called, before Cameron made a pointed dig at the amount of ‘injury time’ for the session:

Cameron: Perhaps I can say that for him to be called at 12:33 on a Wednesday shows that if you stick at anything you can win! [laughter]

Bercow: I’ve always practiced that philosophy myself: however long it takes we’re going to get through them.

Oh, dear.
