Michael Gove and Dominic Grieve

Attorney General Dominic Grieve isn’t afraid to call out corruption when he sees it — even if it looks a bit racist and he ends up having to apologise:

“[Minority communities] come from backgrounds where corruption is endemic. We as politicians have to wake to up to it”

“[Many immigrants] come from societies where they have been brought up to believe you can only get certain things through a favour culture. One of the things you have to make absolutely clear is that that is not the case and it’s not acceptable.”

The Guardian splashes this morning on the Free School bosses paying themselves millions of pounds of taxpayers’ money for consultancy and other services:

Having previously taken such a hard-line on corruption, presumably Grieve has some thoughts on the matter?

Or is it one rule for the Asian community and another for the people delivering your flagship schools policy?
