George Galloway

George Galloway has described being Bradford West’s MP as “98 per cent tedium”. In an interview with Total Politicsthe Respect Party figurehead — whose Twitter account has erroneously claimed that he was MP for Blackburn — whinges:

“I like elections more than I like serving.”

Unless it’s 200 miles away in London, of course, where Galloway fancies a crack at being mayor:

“it’s the next best thing to a presidential election that you’re ever going to get in Britain.”

An office overlooking the Thames is quite the venue for entertaining foreign despots.

  1. Well, he probably won’t be MP for Bradford West after they next hold an election, so he can look forward to that.
