Trouble for young Tories in Kensington, Chelsea and Fulham, with Conservative Future brazenly attempting to charge members a tenner each to vote at their own AGM.

With the pant-wettingly exciting prospect of meeting local bore Greg Hands MP, antediluvian-sounding chairman Maxwell Woodger attempted to charge an entrance fee for the meeting.

Cue complaints that this doesn’t actually comply with their own constitutional rules, the realisation by the executive, and this hasty retreat from Woodger:

“In light of a recent complaint, the KCF CF AGM will now be a free separate event before the event with Greg Hands. Those wishing to stay after the AGM for Greg Hands, Canapés & wine must pay £10.”

Should Greg Hands not be to your taste, vegetarian options are also available .
