Climate campaigners delivered a gigantic viagra pill to Nick Clegg’s Putney home this morning, urging him to to “get hard on climate change”! Presumably fearing the potency of the five-foot pill, Nick Clegg refused to come to the door was in Scotland and instead his wife Miriam used a video intercom system to ask the activists to leave. Having delivered the papier-mâché medicine the seven members of Climate Rush (@climaterush) were then questioned by police:

Campaigner Deborah Grayson, whose previous antics include superglueing herself to a statue of Viscount Falkland, said:

“We hoped this government would fulfil its promise to be ‘the greenest government ever’, but the withdrawal of support for a ‘Green Investment Bank’; the rumours that government will not commit to developing carbon capture and storage technology; and the cutting of key policy bodies, such as the Sustainable Development Commission tell the opposite story … The Lib Dems can do more than prop up a Conservative government.  They could prove their worth by getting hard on climate change.

Surely Clegg is the last member of the government to need “special help”?

  3. I love the fact that leaving a large parcel at someone’s door now warrants being questioned by the police. Royal Mail need to watch their backs.

Ahh, the world we live in.

  11. Chris – if the Police are told by a home owner that mischevious behaviour on their property is causing a concern. Then I guess they, you and me would expect this to be checked – especially terrorism targets in these times.

Such activities just amount to a declaration of infantile minds NOT worthy of a credible response and, subsequently, another waste of limited public resources. Thanks.

Moreover, talk about shooting yourself in the foot: The product unwittingly publicised is manufactured by Pfizer who dont need any encouragement to burn energy or damage the environment. Thanks again.
