It shouldn’t happen to an NHS press officer — but it did after David Cameron visited the east midlands last week:
Please find attached a press release about today’s visit from the Primate Minister [sic], David Cameron who visited the Royal Derby Hospital and said the hospital is a “fantastic example” of the best quality NHS care. David Cameron met nurses and patients during his visit.
An auto-correct error rather than a dig at the NHS Foundation Trust’s scheme of redundancies, a clarification and apology swiftly followed. But the incident has left Scrapbook wondering what role chimps could play in the government of our great nation — a possibility The Simpsons has previously explored:
