Osborne’s Conservative club finally shuts due to lack of funds

George Osborne’s local Conservative club has finally closed its doors after an on-going cash crisis. The club, which shares the same building as Osborne’s Tatton constituency office, has been forced to shut after it failed to drum up the necessary funds to keep it afloat.

Rumours of financial problems first surfaced in August and Osborne’s agent reeled off a Tory-typical ‘I’m all right Jack’ response:

“Any changes … would not affect the location of George Osborne’s constituency office … It’s a landmark building in Knutsford and we’re very proud to be here”

Despite the struggle literally on his doorstep, Osborne appears to have the same cavalier disregard for members of his own association as he has for the general public.

That’s one cut we can all get behind.

In a fiscal sense, nothing new there then.

    Such a shame……not.
