Burton launches range of menswear “inspired by Arthur Scargill”

Menswear store Burton are to launch a new line of clothing inspired by miners’ leader Arthur Scargill. The range, which features a “worker donkey jacket”, will be designed by Royal College of Art fashion student Liam Hodges. According to Shortlist:

“He was inspired while watching a documentary about the miners’ strikes and drew heavily on the ‘spun and dyed’ yarns for which Leeds (where Burton founder Sir Montague Burton built his first factory) was once famous.”

With Burton part of Arcadia group, however, Scargill might have one or two things to say about Philip Green’s tax arrangements.
