Notorious Tory councillor Brian Coleman is currently being held at a central London police station tonight after being arrested on suspicion of assault, it has been reported.
The former chair of London Fire Authority and one of the highest paid councillors in the country, was detained after an incident outside a cafe in North Finchley.
It is alleged that a fracas erupted after an attempt was made to photograph a car which may have been parked illegally.
