A Tory councillor who last week unleashed a stinging slap across the face of a UKIP councillor has stated she will not resign over the incident.
Penny Jackman is facing mounting pressure to step down from her New Forest councillor role, after an election count turned sour. With a leaflet dispute providing the spark for the slap, tensions boiled over leading to the unexpected blow breaking 72 year-old Mike Beggs’ four-tooth bridge and causing him sleepless nights.
In a piece of noteworthy spin, the Chairman of the New Forest West Conservative Association weighed into the controversy, stating:
“I would hope that her occasional over-enthusiasm could be curbed.”
With our “esteemed” councillors carrying on in such a manner, is it any wonder our boxers are brawling in Munich?!

I wonder what would have happened had he been the slapper and not she.
Ewww, nasty thought of that old dear as a slapper…. yuk.
An insult you’ve compounded by referring to Mr Beggs as elderly
‘I have had a full apology from Cllr Jackman, in which she is most apologetic.’
Nada, I meant her… I’m not in the habit of calling men “old dears”. I had just realised that I had called her a slapper, and it brought an altogether different image to my mind.
Is it insulting to imply that someone is elderly?
No surprise to see Chav behaviour so eagerly accepted in this weak and useless Tory party. This is a government that is too afraid of the ECHR to deport a man who is considered to be a significant terrorist risk to our country. Of course- that was when we thought we still had a country and assumed we voted for a government who would step-up and take charge. Instead we get a bunch of Blairite PR types from Islington coupled with the countryside thugs from hunting community.
Without reference either to Ms Jackman or Mr Beggs, both of whom may be perfectly decent good sorts bar this one incident, haven’t you ever just wanted to wallop a politician? Admit it though: Don’t you ever see those clips on the telly (or YouTube) of those East Asians in some sort of parliamentary body hauling off and smacking each other around, and think to yourselves, “We could use some of that over here, to liven up our Councils!”
