Pressure still on Cameron to sack Nazi partying MP Aidan Burley

As the Conservative Party and the government desperately try to ignore the scandal, pressure is still on the Prime Minister to sack Aidan Burley, the MP caught attending a Nazi-themed stag party in France.

Martin Bright, the editor of the Jewish Chronicle, has written a scathing article for the Spectator rubbishing the claims of the Conservative Friends of Israel that Burley “doesn’t have an anti-semitic bone in his body” and calling for Cameron to sack him from his PPS role.

Bright said, of CFI’s statement:

“This is an abdication of responsibility. Burley was a guest of CFI on a recent trip to Israel and he has brought deep shame on the organisation…The Conservative Party now needs to show that the era of the boorish Tory oaf is well and truly over, and deal with Aidan Burley accordingly.”

Quite.
