The Republican candidacy race has so far been a veritable rollercoaster of mad ideas and hilarious video clips, but most of it has been confined to Rick Perry and Herman Cain. Now, as he takes the lead in some polls, it seems Newt Gingrich wants in on it. The former Speaker of the House of Representatives has come out against “stupid” child labour laws, and proposed sacking public sector janitors and employing 14 year old students instead.
And to think, we all expected Michelle Bachmann to be the frontrunner in the crazy stakes.

Actually fairly early on in the campaign this loonie, when asked about an extra marital affair, managed to blame it on his love for his country…
…oh yes he did. Honest.

It really hurt his campaign when they discovered that he was actually conducting this affair at the same time as pursuing Bill Clinton for impeachment over the Monica affair.
I think it was pretty soon after that that it was discovered that he had a $500,000 credit line for jewellery at Tiffiny’s in New York…
That was the point that the lead moved over to Bachmann.
Then she blotted her copy book and a series of people came and went.
Last week’s moment of forgetfulness put Cain out of the front seat to beat Mitt Romney, and having run out of candidates, it was back to old Newt, in the hopes that people have forgotten what an ass he is.
I wonder if Bachmann will get a second change in the “anyone but Mitt” campaign.
It’s said that if Romney gets the nomination, the Tea Party will put someone up against him as a “third party” and take all the southern Baptist votes. (They can’t vote for a Mormon.)
Of course that means that Obama will win, but the Tea Party lot would rather have him than Mitt Romney.
