The new police website won't display Parliament or Whitehall statistics

UPDATE: As fun as this is as a story, perhaps the 75,000 hits per second received by police.uk might have something to to with the error?

“The police minister Nick Herbert has launched an online tool that maps crimes in every locality and streets in England and Wales”, it was claimed today. Not every locality though: searching information for Downing Street, Whitehall or, erm, the Houses of Parliament returns an error message.

When it comes to Westminster, it seems the Met had better address information in 2007 than 2011.

Fun as it might be as a story, I’m pretty sure this is a result of the site being overloaded.

Has nobody thought about the fact that this map could serve as a rather useful resource for burglars looking for new areas to plunder? A slight oversight perhaps: http://durotrigan.blogspot.com/2011/02/england-and-wales-police-crime-website.html
