While Tory grandees prefer to stare directly at their colleagues’ bottoms, ogling women in the Italian parliament is an alltogether more technical affair. MP Simeone Di Cagno Abbrescia was photographed browsing advertisements for prostitutes on his iPad during a parliamentary debate.
Confronted with the snaps, the former mayor of Bari claimed that his “fingers slipped”:
I was looking at my messages when a window opened up and I couldn’t help looking at the pictures of those lovely girls. Sometimes these messages from girls just pop up when you are looking at your email. I have never been with an escort.
It should come as no surprise that Simeone is a member of the People of Freedom party led by Silvio “Bunga Bunga” Berlusconi.
Rumours that the MP had also visited Mary Honeyball’s website could not be confirmed.
