Gulf Coast pelicans: "We want YOU to wash us"

This weekend a friend drew Scrapbook’s attention to the Daily Show’s The Strife Aquatic [geddit?] coverage of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. Their review (video) of footage from Obama’s military-style address from the Oval Office was hilarious:

Tonight, I’ve returned from a trip to the Gulf Coast to speak with you about the battle we’re waging against an oil spill that is assaulting our shores and our citizens … Tonight I’d like to lay out for you what our battle plan is going forward – Barack Obama

Jon Stewart growled: “You heard the man! We’re at war! With an inanimate object – oil!” before dead-panning: “We’ve already got the posters printed and ready to go”:
