"Dry for early voters" but rain forecast for polling day

If they’re not in Wales, Northern Ireland or East Anglia, activists on get-out-the-vote operations will need their raincoats on May 6th.

Speaking to Scrapbook with a view to the weather between 7am and 10pm, Met Office forecaster Robin Downton said:

“It won’t be a washout day but there will be a lot of cloud with showery outbreaks for most of the country. However it should be dry for early voters.”

The general Met Office forecast indicates that “there may be a few brief bright spells but it will remain chilly in an increasing northeasterly breeze”.

Cold activists and soggy get-out-the-vote sheets!
