Just when you thought the “world’s greatest newspaper” [snigger] the Daily Express had given up printing whatever lame tin-foil-hat Diana conspiracy theories were doing the rounds that week …

Perhaps the paper deserves some credit for its uncompromising individualism and wacky take on what qualifies as “front page news”:
- 7 July 2006 (anniversary of 7/7 London bombings): SHAME OF DIANA DEATH PHOTOS
- 6 November 2006 (Saddam Hussein sentenced to death): SPIES COVER UP DIANA ‘MURDER’
In Scrapbook’s days as a PR each member of the company was assigned a particular newspaper to monitor for clients each morning.
Guess which tiresome rag was routinely dumped on new staff?
