Making yourself heard in politics

Holyrood may lack the level of boorish shouting and heckling found at Westminster, but as Sandra White MSP discovered, parliamentarians can still have fun at the expense of others.

The official record reads as follows:

The Deputy Presiding Officer: Hang on, Mr Martin. Sandra White has a point of order. [Interruption.] Can Sandra White’s microphone be turned on, please?

Members: No.

The Deputy Presiding Officer: Order.
