Manchester's only Tory councillor gagged in David Cameron video

Conservative Party conference is getting started in Manchester this week, where their only local councillor, Faraz Bhatti, was elected as a Liberal Democrat in 2007 before defecting to the Tories within a year. The video above shows numerous Liberal defectors attempting to rationalise their careerism.

Nearly all the Liberal turncoats, including failed London mayoral nominee Chamali Fernando and five former PPCs, were given a soundbite but Councillor Bhatti is curiously silent, seen mumbling to himself at the table.

Could it possibly be because he’s a liability on legs?
