Throw out the "cheating bastards" says Liberal Democrat MEP Chris Davies

In a speech to Liberal Democrat annual conference, Chris Davies MEP had some sweary words for the expense fiddlers:

I hate the dirty, cheating bastards who have taken every opportunity to fill their private pockets with public money. I despise them … I want them exposed, I want them punished, I want them thrown out. They should play no part in public life. – Chris Davies

Rumour has it that this soundbite is going to backfire badly!

Backfire? I would actually like to support this speech on this occasion for finally talking with a level of aggression that is most definitely proportionate to the situation on hand…

Re “backfire”, was told about a big Lib Dem expenses story that never materialised. Not sure why.
